I just saw a post from Joe , the resident paintball comp shooter. He mentioned paintballs hitting the lens. I could not imagine a paintball getting in the lens cavity. I am shooting kiteboarding on the beach where sand, salt and water are blowing around constantly. I just put a 43mm Sunpack uv filter on the lens. It seals that whole area and is much easier to clean. Fortunately I did this before ever going to the beach.

I am on the hunt for other filters as well now. This week I will order Hoya's HMC ND filters and they make a Polarizer as well. 43mm filters seem to be pretty scarce. Every time I walk into a shop and ask they look at me sideways. I did however find some online sources. I will let everyone know how it works out. The upside is 43mm filters are dirt cheap.

Anyone have any recommendations on other filters that will benefit the camera.

Good Luck,
Jay
