We're working on a feature-length movie and the best workflow seems to be: log in the tapes when needed for editing, delete source material when done editing, log back in when revisiting if needed. Any other method seems to take up way too much disk space.

But I do wonder: when logging tapes back in and opening the Vegas project again, is it guaranteed that the video is logged in precisely the way it was before?

IMO Scenealyzer is extremely precise and trustworthy and has more latitude for naming and additional information to keep track of whats what than the Vegas Capture program.
If you're not sure about it DL the trial and try it.

My question is actually this:
If I log in a tape again and again and again, will the resulting files from Scenalyzer always be exactly the same? It's important for our editing workflow because otherwise we really can't work like this. Just checking if anyone knows so I don't have to research it myself.
