Hope someone here can help. I have ver 6.5 with quite a lot of plugins purchased over the year. If I update to version 7, will I be able to use the ver 6.5 plug ins I have or do I need to upgrade all of the plugins.

Depends on the plugin. Some still work fine,some need upgrades. The website of the company that developed the plugin should have that information on its "Support" page.
