Anybody using Canon HV20 + Brevis (or any other 35mm adapter) on a DVMultiRig? Is it well-balanced? Please share your setup=) I think it will be very ideal for run n gun shooting. I'm going to try it as soon as the HV20 is available to purchase in my country=)

Looking at the MultiRig, it seems to by default to have the camera quite far in front of you. If you add a 35mm adapter and lens to it you'll get very front heavy. Maybe you can adjust it? Or shoulder mount?

I'm looking into shoulder mount myself.

Yes Bruce, I'm thinking of the shoulder mount type so the front heavy could be balanced. HV20 is just available today in local main distributor (in Indonesia), but sigh... the price is still too high, $1400... guess I have to wait a while when it gets to retail (camera) store

Oh you mean the DV Rig Pro HD?

Cool! Thanks, hadn't noticed it before. I have also been looking at the Zacuto system, the Cavision system and yes, even the Red rail system - that would allow me to use the Red lens motor control hand-grip combo, which sounds cool. Otherwise, Cinevate folow focus or Arri LFF-1... or one of the new remote focus systems. Too many options!

I'm probably going with the sgpro instead of the brevis (its picture seems sharper to me) and that comes with rails built in. Would prefer brevis or cavision carbon fibre rails though, aargh!

What matte box? Believe it or not I am even considering an Arri MB-20 (swing away, relatively lightweight, 4x5.6, rotating filter holders, will last me the next 15 years...)

So probably my setup is a bit too big for the DV MultiRig. Will check it out though.

I see they talk about their ENG one being good for use with a P+S Mini35... http://www.dvtec.tv/id29.html

Nope Bruce, i mean multirigpro (www.dvmultirig.com) because my setup is quite 'lightweight' :) Just the HV20 + Brevis + Nikon lens + rod support and maybe some accessories for the back balance. I'm not sure how much is the total weight, rough estimation would be HV20 (0.5kg) + Brevis (0.3kg) + Nikon 50mm (0.4kg) + rod support (I'm not sure at this moment but let's say 1kg) + mattebox (approx. 0.5kg). So that would be total 3kg front-heavy...CMIIW..:) I'm going to consult this with Danny from Dvtec
