Does anyone know if it is possible to plug another type of Mic (with the proper cable/connectors) into the UWP-C1 transmitter without damaging it or the mic?
Specifically, I'm wanting to be able to have a wireless boom with a shotgun...without investing in another system with a plug-in transmitter. Anyone tried this?
Thanks,
Barry

I ordered a lead with a 4-pin BNC hirose at one end and XLRF at the other and it works just fine with any condenser mic.

since the input of the transmitter is minijack with no phantom power supply, there is a limitation on what you can connect on it.
basically this device accept anything from mic level to line level and i already connected a lot of device on it without problem.

Thanks everyone...wow (and greetings from Florida). I was planning on using a self-powered mic such as the AT 897 or Rode NTG-2, so Phantom won't be an issue. Neil, I'm a little confused about the 4-pin BNC...I was thinking I would need to use a female XLR to male TRS 3.5mm mini plug (the mic input on the Sony transmitter is 3.5). Again, thanks for the quick response...and on my first post! My main concern was whether the low voltage power that is sent to the Sony lav would cause any issues...but sounds like I'm good to go.
Thanks again,
Barry
