does 24f lose vertical resolution?
and if so why?
isn't it basically the same as 24p does that lose resolution?

Don't know if this helps but i just viewed some 24f footage shot today and it played back on my 55" 16x9 1080i monitor full screen. Beautiful picture.

In one theory, up to 50%. In practice, well.... people measured it to loose just 10-12% ; most people can't see any resolution drop compared to interlaced.

Nobody wanted to answer specifically, because really, nobody knows for sure.
