Both of those kits are going for $50 at B&H, and I'm sure that both are 'no-frills', no multicoating or such, but does anyone have a preference? TIA.
View Full Version : Filter kit question: Hoya vs Tiffen? Mike Dulay May 7th, 2007, 01:20 PM My personal bias is toward Hoya. That doesn't mean much for these basic filter kits as they wouldn't be too different. Most Hoya except their most basic green filters (no coating) are made in Japan. Tiffen filters are made in the USA. Their glass protectors have no coating, if I recall correctly. Given the fact that these are basic filters, personal preferences is exactly what I was asking about. Many thanks - Roman. |
