Well gents and ladies. After a lot of searching I finally found a solar panal that is small enough to take in the field (wt. is less than 2 lb).and is actually rated for charging video/cell phone battaries. It is made by a company called Brunton. There are two different models, costs $248.00 for one, $308.00 US for the other and comes with case, cables and 12v DC adapter. Bob

Thats a cool find Bob! Thanks for sharing. Do you have a link to it?

I have been wondering if something like this works well enough to purchase. For future use of course -- I can't afford that now... Nor would I use it all that much since I don't get a chance to get out in the 'field' all that much.

If I ever get to Amazonas to seek the Musician Wren I will have to leave power-socket-land for days on end and this bit of gear could give me some independence. Thank you Bob for finding and sharing the solution to one problem ... now to figure out which product I would need to recharge a 7.4v 5400mAh B-0534 battery. Any ideas for a feeble mind?
