Thanks Stelios !

My specialty is taping Musicians. Many have their own MySpace and would like to have a sample to upload.

For $99 you can get Sony Vegas 6, which is a full featured editing app, at:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/434966-REG/Sony_SV6000DVD_Vegas_6_Video_Editing.html

You can download a trial version of V6 at:
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/step2.asp?did=583%5C%22

All product features will work with the trial version for 30 days, except for HDV and DVD Handycam capture. All features, including HDV, work with registered version.

There is also Adobe Premiere Elements, and Pinnacle Studio.
Both are entry level NLE, and costs around 100$.

If you are using windows, you should already have windows movie maker included.

All the software mentioned by all of us will be good enough to produce what you are looking for.

Check out http://www.zs4.net/ - it looks like it's geared exactly toward the kind of video you would like to work on. I have never used it though, so I don't know how it works or how reliable it is... I just came across it while surfing the net.

If myspace does the video conversion like Youtube, you can even use Windows Movie Maker. That is included in Windows XP or Vista. There is iMovie if you are on a Mac (and it will do QuickTime - image that ;) )

How about this one "Sony Vegas Movie Studio+DVD Platinum Edition "
Anyone knows if this can handle 24fps applications.
Good day.

final cut express is cheap, and pretty good at what it does (if you're on a mac that is)

Jimi, I don't know, but if you ask this same question in the Vegas section (What Happens in Vegas), you should get a quick answer.

Thanks everyone for the recommends.

Ended up getting Sony Vegas Movie Studio+DVD. Fry's Electronics had all the boxes priced at $89 except for 1 box which was priced at $59.

They honored the $59 list , so price won over this go round.

I heard that the entry level Vegas is quite good in this market, one of the most featured at least. Definitely a good buy at $59.
