Oliver,

It’s nice to another member from Illinois here. I’m about 45 minutes south of you in Frankfort.

I agree this is a great place to learn from some of the best.

Thank you George. I will have to post more replys. What brings you to this forum?. Brandon, Walter I would like to know the same. Is everyone here a novist like me or are you true proffesionals? I know Bob, he does some mighty nice camera work and he is not afraid to experiment. Jeff, I like your "Video Production For The Common Man".

I am a wedding videographer, I would say that I have done somewhere around 150 weddings in the last 7 years I also do some other production work trainning dvds promo video that kind of stuff. And in the fall I hunt and film for "The Wild Outdoors" one of the top rated hunting shows on the Outdoor channel. That is where I got my start in the video industry and I am now addicted. I am on this forum all the time 3-4 times a day. I just do not write a whole lot.

Hi Oliver,
From Hoffman Estates to be precise so not all that far from you. 355 is a pretty straight shot. Been doing weddings and events for 24 years. About 1100 of them over the years-some fun some not-some better than others but it's a living.

Like many here, I used to do weddings as well. But after hearing "Celebration" for the hundredth time I decided to get out while I was still sane. Unfortunately it was too late.

I have also worked as a camera man and assistant director on two no budget movies. Now I'm in early stages of preproduction on a movie I'm trying to write. But mostly I'm a novice and I come here to learn as much as I can from the more talent people here.
