I was working on a project for a local band. I am using a Edirol R-09 to record sound. When I sync up the sound to the video it looks right in the timeline but when I render and view the video the audio is off a bit. What would cause this?

A little odd.... How are you rendering this? Mpeg-2 for DVD or WMV9, etc?

I believe its .mpeg I'm not at home right now so I'm not 100% sure.

sych it and render to AVI first - see if that makes a difference. I've had a couple of projects in the last few years that go nuts when I render to MPEG. It's in sync on the timeline but when I render straight to MPEG it's out but if I render to AVI first then go to MPEG from the newly rendered AVI it's fine.
You might try it just to see if it helps.

Are the project settings and sample rate the same? For any external audio( I have a Zoom H4) I usually resample in Sound Forge to 48K first to match the DV or HDV on the timeline. Sync the beginning then look at the waveform at the end of the timeline and sometimes have to stretch to fit sync at the end. The sample rate clocks will not be the same as the cameras. Once in sync this way it will render out OK.

Forgot to check on this thread last night, I will try the sample rate thing. Thanks
