View Full Version : XDCAM HD Footage?

Hey Guys,

I have looked everywhere trying to find it, but it seems that there is very little XDCAM HD (Cinealta) sample footage anywhere on the internet. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd much appreciate it.

I mean, I've seen the sample footage Sony have posted, but that looks like bad 90s soap opera to my eyes. And from what I've heard XDCAM HD is supposed to look nice.

Am I missing something? Or does the lovely footage I keep hearing about actually contain the over-diffused glory of The Bold and the Beautiful circa 1995?

Cheers,

Mark

Hello Mark,

Have a look at the links contained on the page below. Jody pretty much tells it like it is.

You can also obtain a DVD with higher resolution, but the web video looks really good. You'll be able to see the versatility of the camera for sure.

Hi Mark,
You can find some MXF files in www.lumiere.com.br/hd.
They are camera files, without any treatment.
You can see some images of a feature film that was shoot in HD with PDW-F330 in www.lumiere.com.br/cinemadigital.
Sorry, the site is in portuguese.

Thanks for the links.

Very informative.

Nice looking footage.

I would like to see the XDCAM HD and the HPX-500 shooting side by side.

Terrific, thanks for the links guys. The Sony footage wouldn't play properly but the audio did. The lumiere stuff is great though - gives me a lot of hope for the XDCAM EX!

Thanks again guys.
