I need to buy a DVD duplication system for a current project I'm working on. This is the one I like. Does anyone have any experience with this model? What about Pioneer or NEC models? I'm open to all recomendations/suggestions. I'm looking at the 1:3 models, my price range is $300-$400.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

my opinion is that any replication system not based on automation (robotic loading of DVDs) is not viable.
a bravo Primera pro cost about 2500$ and can burn and PRINT 100 DVDs in a batch.
the little brother (Bravo II) can go as low as 1700$ and still burn 50 disc in a raw.
you lauch it and you use your time for fun, sleep or making business.
With tower system, whatever the number of drives you get, you need to attend and reload every 5 or 10 minutes. Additionaly there is no print possible.

Since you are asking about a 1:3 duplicator, you seem to have a small run project. I just finished a ~350 DVD project with a 1:7 duplicator and 160 GB HDD. I loaded all my original DVD Studio Pro DVD's on the duplicators HDD, set the number of copies and other than pulling the discs out seven at a time, and dropping seven blanks in, it was a very smooth process. A high throughput job may warrant a robot, but this worked fine with my project and I'm happy with this brand duplicator and they sell 1:3 in the price range you mention.

Not a single bad disc in the entire run. It's got a built in copy and compare feature, so it makes sure your DVD copy matches bit for bit the original. That adds time to the duplication run, but also ensures that your customers will get working discs.
