I'm trying to master (cc&mix&export to tape) a 50i hdv video with PP2.
I'd like to preview video through camera which is attached to video projector.

1) I can't get preview through camera. Playback Settings in General Project Settings shows Realtime Playback's External Device options as "None". Camera is set in Signal Setup's Playback Standard as HDV.

2) I can't Export to Tape. Playback Settings in General Project Settings shows Export's External Device options as "None".

Any help?

So no preview or printing to tape with XL-H1 & PP2?

Update:
Exporting to HDV now works after rebooting the pc, but I can't set the inpoint on the tape and other normal stuff when printing to tape. Is this normal?

Also, there's no realtime preview through camera.
Is this normal? PP2 does not support previewing through HDV camera?

Are you saying you can export to tape in HD back to the Canon XL H1 (I own a Canon XH A1)? -- longer than 6 minutes, we could do it for only 4.5 min, then it fails to export.

I can export SD back to the A1 camcorder, but not HD. Others have stated the same problem using PP2. I have been hoping the new CS3 would solve that, or that canon would have an app for exporting a file off the computer.
