View Full Version : Underwater and Infrared?

I am hoping to record some fish spawning behavior this fall for a species that only spawns at dawn and dusk when it's quite dark. Since the fish may be disturbed by having a bright light on them while spawning, I am thinking an infrared camera+housing and an array of underwater infrared lights might be the most practical solution.

Can anyone recommend equipment for a job like this?

Thanks

Aaron

red and infrared is the first color to be blocked by water.
except using a huge amout of infrared (probably enough to boil water), there is few chance you can see anything.

Thanks Giroud,

Well, that makes things more difficult than I had thought. Any other suggestions out there, or has anyone done anything like this before?
