View Full Version : 4K resolution projector for $12,000? Marcus Marchesseault July 15th, 2007, 08:57 AM http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,2147448,00.asp Emre Safak July 15th, 2007, 09:05 AM I'd rather have one 4K projector. What a waste of resources...and imagine the noise. Giroud Francois July 15th, 2007, 09:29 AM it is a good technology, but i cannot see how the program can align picture with accuracy without grabing at high resolution. Do we need a red camera connected to the Pc ? Joe Busch July 15th, 2007, 08:44 PM No, but realize computer operating systems and many programs can be scaled to large resolutions... You could theoretically play 3D animation/games at that resolution... Although how useful it'd be is questionable... Bob Grant July 15th, 2007, 10:00 PM This is already done using mechanical alignment, having software to do it for you would make it a snap. However getting different projectors to track colors and gamma, that would be a challenge if not impossible but 12 identical projectors and it should be doable. |
