New Macs coming tomorrow?
 

Several of the rumor sites are saying various new products will be released tomorrow (April 26)...

I've read the same thing on Think Secret.

Makes you wonder what Apple has in store for this year's WWDC in June.
I can't see them updating the G5 tomorrow and then announcing dual core in June. Looks like I might be waiting for a while for my dream dual dual.

Exciting stuff none the less.

I've been watching the "new Mac" buzz for about a month now because I *seriously* need to replace my well-aged DP450 so I can get something that can run FCE and edit DV at a decent pace. I've been planning on buying an 20" iMac, but I would just wanna EAT MY HAT if I bought one and then a new model was released a week or so later.

And so, I continue to wait for a new, refreshed model. :-(

If you can wait, wait, if not, buy now. I couldn't wait for a G5 DP 2 ghz Power Mac, to be released November 2003. I needed it in September, when the 1.6 and the 1.8 (both single processors) shipped. I couldn't justify a 1.8 single, so I got a 1.6. I hope to upgrade by the end of this year, beginning of next.

Well, I can wait for probably another 6 weeks, but that's about it. I'm shooting like mad right now, and I figure that by the middle of June I'm gonna have 30+ hours of footage to start to edit down to 55 minutes. My target date for completion is September, so I really need as much time to edit as possible -- since, you know, I have NO idea what I'm doing. LOL!

We shall see what, if anything, happens today. Who knows, maybe I'll buy the low-model PowerMac instead of the high-model iMac. <shrug>

They may have jumped the gun.
Apple will probably make the announcement tomorrow.

I just saw that too! Very funny, Apple hasn't announced them but Amazon is selling them ;-)
