HDD is what, I'm confused.
agreed that there is some confusion on abbreviations between high def and hard drives?

I've never touched the default for sharpness (hc3), should I?

HD = High Definition

HDD = Hard Disk Drive

ADD = Me

I wouldn't especially since someone will do post processing anyway.

Increasing sharpness setting doesn't increase actual resolution, only adds artificial sharpening that might be more pleasing to the eyes (but again you can do that also in PP).
