Sounds good man thanks and I agree with the new footage idea I think it is the only way to put the avchd vs hdv battle to rest. If you don't get the time I definitely understand. Thanks for everything.

Tom,

I am using JVC GZHD7 since last 9 months! I am very much happy, it has 60GB HDD and you can record on SDHC card also! 1440CBR is there 30MB per second.

I am glad you like the videos! No, I always shoot in Full HD 1920x1080, but will soon do CBR 1440x1080, and will post. So, now are you considering JVC GZHD7?

The only operational question I have is in regards to an external mic input. The brochure says it doesn't have it. The rep at the booth said that it did. I've asked the question of a friend of mine at Panasonic. He promised to get the skinny and let me know...

I have confirmed that the HS9 and SD9 cams do not have an external mic input. The GS500 is their only remaining consumer camera with the feature, and it will soon be discontinued.

I put in a request for this feature to return to future models...

Hey Jon
I have been checking out the stuff at COLONEL CRUSH awesome job on heart break break in great score made me smile instantly.
Is it a family affair? I noticed the same last name for a few thats pretty awesome.

thanks again

Yeah, Colonel Crush is mostly my oldest son on the video/directing/editing side (plus his friends as actors), and me on the music/audio/web side. My youngest son does odd jobs and is learning the audio production side.

For the 48-hour stuff, the whole family joins in. My wife is a writer, so she is the "script consultant." My daughter studies voice, so she played "Jenine." Everybody flops over here at Fairhurst Studios for the weekend. Lots of coffee, donuts, pizza, chips and soda for all.

But this year if we pull "musical", we're trading it in for the wild card! Creating a musical in 48-hours is nutty!
