Render as 1920x1080 square pixel

Hi everybody,

Sorry if this was discussed already, search did not reveal much...

As I understand, Canon HG10 (and most, if not all, of the current camcorders) output 1440x1080 picture with 1.333 pixel aspect ratio.

Is it possible to produce a 1920x1080 square pixel file? When I try these settings in Vegas it says the parameters are not compatible with my project settings which are HDV 60i.

Some tools just don't recognize the fact that this is widescreen footage so I though maybe converting it into a square pixel resolution might help...

Now I am not sure how I would tell if it is a square pixel file. I'm only viewing on my cpu monitor.
