Cineform Coding Methods

Is there any difference when converting to a cineform AVI by using different methods.

I can convert to cineform AVI via neoscene, or render to a cineform AVI from Vegas 9 or convert to cineform AVI in a program like the pavtube converter. Once I have neoscene installed the option to convert or render to a cineform AVI appears in all my programs. So is there any difference in the cineform AVI if I use neoscene or render from Vegas 9.

I’m compiling all the good scenes from my AVCHD files and would ideally like to convert them to cineform AVI by rendering from Vegas 9, as I can do any color correction, trimming and FX as I do the render. This leaves me with good images that just need basic editing. So is the Cineform AVI created from render in Vegas the same as the one produced when converting from neoscence. I’m not worried about applying pull downs, or any of the other features that neoscene can do, I just need to convert from AVCHD to AVI and do some trimming and color correction along the way.

I could also render to an MXF file, but the quality doesn't look as good as the cineform AVI.

Rog,
I think that to get the best from the Cineform codec, you would need to convert via Neo Scene direct from the AVCHD files first. I use it for editing with Premiere Pro CS3 and it is excellent...
