David Newman, whats the status!?

Hey David, do you have an estimate on how long before you roll out your editing solution for AVCHD? 1 month? 6 months? I wanted to carry an AVCHD camera with me for some traveling that im going to be doing very soon. But I am going to want to edit and share almost imeediately. Its important that I be able to do that. If not, Ill probably have to go HDV. I know you were having coding issues. Just wondering if you have any sort of outline for us.

You're far more likely to get a response by following up one of the AVCHD threads in the CineForm forum.

As I understand it, they are waiting for someone to release a stable decoder that they can license.

In the meantime you can capture directly to CineForm via an Intensity card if your camera is HDMI equiped. More info here : http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=86147
