plugin for mediacomposer: simulating camerafailure?

I am looking for a plugin to simulate camerafailure, not the terminator kind but a real fast freeze kind of failure, got to look pretty realistic as there was a failure but that didnt show up on the xdcam camera. We were shooting demonstrations on the first of may (labourday) in Berlin and there were some big confrontations with the police, the camera had a failure and i would like to emphasize that. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

greetings

Can you be more specific about what the effect should look like? You're talking about some sort of failure in a VIDEO camera, right? Not a film camera?

I suppose you could put a couple of intermittent frames of 'white' - maybe drop the chroma out of a few frames, toss in some 'static- snow' - end with a freeze frame and black??? But I don't know of a specific "Video Failure" plug-in... sorry. Sounds like something you will have to invent.

some one told me you could get an effect like a failure, see "man on fire" the scene where Denzyl gets shot by toggling the power. i have never tried it but it comes from a pretty good editor i know in Denmark.
