Avid AAF to Nuendo(via protools)

Project: 720p50
Video: DV25 50i, DvcproHD 1080i50, DvcproHD 720p50, DNxHD36 1080p25. All dvcpro are P2 material.

Issue:
Nuendo seems reluctant to import AAF of any sort, dispite Nuendo's claims of it being capable of so.

Workaround so far, Protools 8:
Still here we have some issues. Even though we set handles at 250frames the max length for handles we get are as long as the Audio dissolves which the editor added, and we know there are enough media to have that long handles on many clips. All EQ and levels are removed, but I can't find a way to remove all transitions and one by one is out of the question with a 45min documentary.

Anyone experienced issues with AAF, mixing of framerates and trouble with handles when importing the AAF into Protools? From protools we output OMF for Nuendo and this works fine, but we have no handles no longer than the audio dissolves.

Doing audio in PT is not an option at this stage as the production company has it's own audio dep. who runs Nuendo.
