MC 5 and Adobe CS 5 playing nice

Hey there-
I am upgrading my Windows 7 workstation to Media Composer. I also want to get the new Photoshop and After Effects.
I am a little concern when it comes to a video card. Which ones should I be looking at so everything will play nice with each other? Or can someone direct me to where I can get the info?

Thanks

Nvidia Quadro cards are recommended by both Adobe and Avid.

While you do not "need" to have a Quadro card to run MC5, Avid can be finicky about providing supporting to users with non-recommended system configurations. Also, support at nVidia is reported to be much better for Quadro cards than other nVidia cards.

Whether those considerations will matter to you depends on what you actually do with your video and how much you care about support. I've been running both the CS5 Production Premium Suite and MC5 with a GTX260 card and a Matrox MXO2 Mini and have been doing so without any video card related problems. This is a YMMV situation.

Entry level Quadro cards are sub $300. For that kind of money, I wouldn't risk not being able to get support from Avid. That's just me...
