Media Composer "First"
 

It all seems to have gone very quiet on the Avid front about their free cut-down version.
Has anyone heard or seen anything yet?

I've been using it for a few days.

Sound import (wav out of Audacity that I've edited in Edius) is buggy.
It comes in at -10 db, can be gained intermittantly with various tools.
Its a very bad marketing tool.

about once a week, avid forces you to suffer through a 1 hour update.

The latest, jan 2018 has no problem importing wav's .
It won't import the most common consumer codec avchd.
