One thing I thought was really bizarre was the decision to CGI-enhance the faces of the kids in their initial introductions. I don't understand the point of that, other than to say "hey we have a huge budget and can add CGI wherever we want." It was just weird.
Also, the CGI of stretched Mike-TV and purple Violet at the end was horrible! Stop-motion puppets would have looked better than that!
