Blueray Question.. pls help..

Hi Folks, I have a request for Blueray delivery. Need your help as below:

1. I usually shoot in 720 50P but was adviced to shoot in 1920x1080-50i. Which should I go for? I'm in PAL land. I will prob end up with 2hrs of footage.

2. I noticed V8 has options for mpeg2 rendering in 1440x1080 and 1920x1080. I like to go for the latter but the framerates available are 24P, 50i, 60i only. Does that mean my only option is to shoot in 1920x1080 50i since I'm in PAL land? I would prefer progressive anytime but 25P will intro stattering as I have experienced previously.

3. DVDA5 has options in the disc properties in strange framerates of 29.97i, 25i and 24P, 23.97P. What is good for me? It looks like 24P would be nice but I cant shoot in 24P in PAL land.

4. DVDA5 also has options for AVC or mpeg 2 video format. Which is better? The default mainconcept AVC template does not have anything for Blueray.

5. DVDa5's default bit rate looks low. Is 18Mbps the standard?

6. Lastly, how many hours can a 25Gb TDK BR disc handle?

Sean you can make your own render templates in vegas.
Pick the 1920x1080 template then just change the field order and frame rate to what you want, then go to the top of the render window and save the template, give it a name as well.

Paul.

Yeah I am aware of that. Just like to know if anyone here have tested the methods.
