Two C100 Questions

Hello all,

Two quick questions.

1). I do not see C-log as an option on my C100. I do see "Cinema." Is that the same thing?

2). Is there a way to set auto white balance>

Sorry for not doing more research my self. I took delivery of the C100 today and my first shoot starts tomorrow, and I need to head out soon to catch a plan, so I'm in a desperate pinch for quick answers.

Many thanks!

Re: Two C100 Questions

Two quick answers:

1) Yes! But you may want to try Wide DR first, and shoot tests with C-Log before a proper shoot so you get used to what you're doing. Strongly recommend switching on the View Assist mode for C-Log (but that's for after tomorrow).

2) Click the joystick and 'tab' over to the white settings on the left (if it's fresh out of the box they should be there). wiggle the joystick up or down to scroll through to [A] which will auto-track white balance.

Happy shooting! :-D

Oh, and another thing for the 'Fresh outta the box' user: I am a complete numpty at times and have been known to frame a shot, and even start recording, not seeing the big yellow box labelled 'Magn'. Run & Gun is like that.

So, if you go to the Wrench menu, find F. Assist. B&W and set it to Magnify, the monitor will switch to monochrome when you're punched in. You'll never mis-compose in the heat of the moment. :-D

Re: Two C100 Questions

I have placed two perfectly sized small pads onto my one touch iris and one on the magnify button. The one touch focus is easy to find but in a pinch I don't want to have to search for those buttons. This way I find them quickly, especially in dark venues (like musicals).
