Ipad 2 as wireless monitor

Has anyone tried using an eye-fi or transcend wifi SD card to view live from a C100 to an Ipad 2?

I wrote to transcend and they answered...
"The camera Canon C100 is not listed as a compatible camera yet since it have not been tested with the WIFI card.
The card works as you described. You can check video in your mobile device after the shooting, but the video is not copied to the mobile device until you selected to be copied to your camera roll.
You can get the card and test it, and as I know if you get the card from Amazon, you will have a window of 30days for refund."

I would love to have a wireless monitor and it sounds like it would work based on the description here... Transcend 32GB SDHC Memory Card Wireless Class 10 TS32GWSDHC10
It would likely have some lag, and would not need to record to the ipad, just live viewing. It could also be used to show a second shooter what the primary is shooting. Seems too good to be true, but I figured it was worth asking if anyone has tested it. Thanks.

Re: Ipad 2 as wireless monitor

I cannot confirm nor deny but I'm really skeptical that this thing would actually work as you say. I have used one for stills, and it typically sends the individual images moments after the photos were taken. There is a delay before it ever gets to the secondary device with single still images. I cannot imagine this particular process would work for video files. It's essentially an automated file transfer device. It is not reading from the CMOS chip and streaming it. It's just transferring files to an app that knows how to view files. Files appear on the card, the software sends it away to dedicated device. The dedicated device can display the files.

Am I missing something here?

I have an eye-fi card and you can stream video you have already recorded. There is no live viewing of anything.

You can only stream low rez video. The connection is pretty slow.
