Just checked my c100 for this, sold as a rock.
There is a tiny but of give in terms of rotating the lens (in the same way you would when you take a lens off) but in terms of 'in and out' movement (as seen in your video) there is none. So if canon is telling you that this is normal, then my and Andy's C100 are not normal (in that our do not move) |

This post caused me to try out all my lenses on my C100...from Canon L glass to vintage Pentax Super-Takumars with Fotodiox adapters, from wide zooms to 300mm primes...everything feels and looks solid on my unit. There is a tiny amount of play - 0.25mm? - that you need to really push against the lens to feel, but certainly nothing that affects image quality or framing. Just another data point for the ongoing discussion.
