CF cards that work/don't work

I am going to purchase my 7d tomorrow and while researching CF cards to buy, I found many varying opinions of what works/doesn't work. Some say you MUST have UDMA enabled, some say the Sandisk Extreme III's work fine, etc. Is there any possibility those with the camera that have tested their cards could weigh in with a simple list? It would be greatly appreciated.

Promaster Compact Flash 133x - 4GB : Works for Photo. Does not work for Video
Delkin Devices Compact Flash Pro UDMA - 16 GB: Works for Photos. Works for Video

Sandisk Extreme III, 30MB/s work fine. Even tho they don't have the UDMA label, they are.

I've tested A-Data 32gig and 16gig non-turbo cards and they work as well. The 4gig cards do not work for video.

That's for video. If it works for video, it will always work for stills.... even the slowest most ancient CF's will work for stills as long as they are large enough - I have an old 16 _meg_ CF... that won't even hold one RAW file now.

PNY 8gb Optima Pro UDMA 266x 40 Mb/s - Works fine, no issues at all with video in my 7D.

This is a solid card for the $49 I paid on Amazon it seems.

PQI 133x 16GB works for both photo and video

Re: Sandisk. The Extreme III cards are UDMA if they are 30MBS. There's a big 30 on the label. If there's no 30, then they're not UDMA. There are still some of the older Extreme III non-UDMA cards out there and they're always quite a bit cheaper than the UDMA ones.

Newegg.com - SanDisk Extreme III 32GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model SDCFX3-032G-A31 - Flash Memory

Like this one?

Yep, that's a 30MBS one. Good price for 32 gigs too.

Boo. A little sad I spent extra dough for the Sandisk Extreme IVs thinking the IIIs were not UDMA. Oh well now I know.
In comparison to the SxS cards I bought 2 years ago these seem like a bargain and there was a big rebate on the Sandisks, so it wasn't too bad.
But the IVs work great and are probably overkill for, well, everything?

This one works great for video in the 7d:

I'm curious to know if the Kingston 133x 16 and 32gb versions work for video; if so, I'd sell off my Delkin Devices UDMA cards and buy a stack of them - 16gb is only $40 on Amazon, and 32GB is $75.

Ive read by others using them they work just fine, ive ordered the 133x 32gb and will let you know in case theres any issues.. just need to wait for my 7d to arrive now!
(btw this page is quite usefull in deciding what to buy, this ones for the 5d but hopefully performance wont vary too much with the 7d http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/cam...?cid=6007-9784 )

(Edit - apologies, i was thinking of the transcend not the kingston..)

I just got the 7D yesterday and from the very limited testing I have done so fare, my 16gb PhotoFast 366X UDMA from eBay (68$ shipped) performs as fast for stills or video as my 16gb Sandisk Extreme III UDMA.

Kingston 133x 16GB Elite Pro works for recording video just fine. Haven't really put it thru the test yet, but I've recorded video 2-3 minutes and no hiccups.

Can confirm Kingston Elite Pro 16 GB 133x CompactFlash Memory Card works fine.

Planning on ordering a few.
