Building a rig

Hi,
Im going to build my own railsystem and have been doing some research on this. I want to buy a readymade followfocus system so I need it to fit whenever that is added later on.

I think that the standard measurements of a rail setup is 15mm rods with 60mm spacing.
Im not sure if that means that it is measured from the center of each rod or the gap between them.

I would be very happy if any rig-owners could check and verify the measurements on your particular rig.

Thanks.

:-)

Viktor

I built a simple rails system for my 7D for around $50 plus QR plates.
It's designed to be modular so you can go from your monopod, tripod, dolly etc.

Thanks Cody!

Nigel that rig looks super! Those pictures are realy inspiring. :-) I will probably use aluminium rods on mine.
