Twin Shoe Mount
What is everyone using when trying to mount more than one bit of external equipment to the top of the camera. In my situation I want to use a lamp and also an external mic at the same time....I'm sure there is something cheap out there but I'm struggling to find anything

You could use an off camera flash bracket, the type that screws to the bottom of the camera and gives a handle which has a shoe on it. That would give two mounting points with the cameras hot shoe plus a handle.
This for example: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/278249-REG/Manfrotto_233B_233B_Telescoping_Camera_Flash_Bracket.html |
Thanks Norman. That does appear pretty bulky, is there nothiong more simple out there. I would have thought that a simple attachment (with two shoe horn fittings) that screws into the current shoe mount would do the trick

Hi Tim, check this page - hope it's helpful. Specifically the Rycote mount.

I just got one of these, a triple hotshoe support. I use it for my two Sennheiser radio receivers. If I like I can put the Zoom between them with a ball mount that I also have.
