Since I am using windows, wouldn't Cineform's Neoscene be better for me?

I am having trouble getting ProRes...

ProRes is not an option available to you on the PC.

CIneform, DNxHD, Lagarith, Matrox VfW, and various others are all options available to you. Choose one.
