Improvised shoulder mount (kind of silly but it works)

Hey,

Just got this thought one day (probably is not something really new) and I've tested it and was pleased with the results, especially for the investment that is zero if you already have a tripod, which most folks have.

I've put up a quick example of how it works and footage comparison.

Have fun!

Cool, works pretty well, thanks for posting. The focus pull comparison was informative.

I do this sometimes as well when I need to pull focus handheld. I find it's even better if you have the strap around your neck for another point of stabilization.

Nice video Mugurel! Another one I use is the Indislider, it has feet that work like handles, and the back feet work well as a pressure/ stabilization point on your neck. It was also pretty cheap! I should do a vid with that as well...

@Stephen: Glad it helped.

@David: Agree with having the strap around your neck, just didn't wanted someone to end up strangled because of my demo :p

@Jef: Would be nice to see your demo of the Indislider!

I'll try to get to that! (we just moved 2 days ago, mountains of boxes and cables!)
