quick lens comparison video shot with 7D

I have posted the video a while ago, but I totally forgot about our awesome DVinfo.net...

More indoor test will be coming after the crazy wedding season is toward end a little bit!
Thanks.

interesting. the sigma seemed to be a bit brighter then the other lenses. I also noticed on the bike shot that the canon had a higher flare level - the washed out shadow areas on the tires... who would of thought that the L glass would of been less.

did you take any stills ? I'd be interested to see same area 1:1 crops to see if the L glass is really an better as a still lens.

also, did you have any other older glass in this range ? I've got a 35-70 F4 OM, and a 35-105 3.5 vivitar on its way. if the vivitar works as good as the pics of it were, I'll most likely be selling the OM

I'm very interested in the sharpness between the three. It's hard to tell on the small screen, but you've seen the originals... how close are they?

Also, which of the Sigma 24-70 lenses is this one?

I have the Tamron (nikon version) and it is a great lens!

Theres many comparison shots floating around the internet between it and the Canon and the performance of the Tamron is pretty close to the Canon considering the price difference.

Heres some side by sides http://www.pbase.com/davejr/tamronvscanon

Thanks for the comparison! I just bought a 7D this morning and looks like the Tamron is going to be added to my lens lineup.
