match T2i to Sony Z1

Just bought the t2i, and wondering which settings I should choose to match up the picture with my Z1 as best as possible. If anyone has any advice on this, it'd be much appreciated :)

Thanks, James

I forget if the Z1u will record 29.97p, if it does, that would be a good start.

I'd make a Picture Profile with snappier blacks, a little color boost and a little more sharpness.

On the T2i side, cut some sharpness and flatten the color slightly.

On shoot day, do your best to match white balance and you should be ok.

Here's one matching the T2i and two EX1's using similar settings. CC on a couple of clips only.
Experimentation will be your best advise.

I shoot them both as flat as possible, convert everything to Cineform, and with a little CC it turns out pretty well.

You just need to experiment a little, to find out what method is best within your workflow.

You can see that DSLR for video is at the first stage of things. Give it another 2 years and it will be king. So far 90% of my videos are shot with a camcorder (Z5) as it is so difficult to focus with a DSLR. I know that you will say, practise, practise, practise, but if I have an alternative method of shooting (video camera) I get lazy...

Thanks for the advice. I'll create a Picture Profile as you suggest.

Its a Z1E that I have and it doesn't shoot 29.97p

Would you say 50i or 60i would be best? I think I'll shoot the T2i at 30fps
