What lens is mounted to the camera? It looks like an 'f' mount but I don't see any adapter between it and the body.

Looks like a Nikon lens. The first silver ring closest to the body is the adapter.

You are almost there:

Camera: body + RRS L bracket.
Rails and base: Genus
Matte Box: Wide angle Genus
Hand Grip: Vanguard Tru-Grip
Lens: Nikon 35mm/2.0 AIS manual focus
Lens adapter: made in China
Rear viewer: 3" Hoodman + rear LCD protector for 40D

Some gaffer's tape, some filling and brain storming...

you flip it over and the handle is now on top.... easy to fix the flipped footage in the NLE :-)
