Bah, you don't need IS. Put that thing on a tripod where it belongs when you're shooting video.

Just how how they should take out OIS from all of the prosumer camcorders out there huh?

I'll join in here. Thank you for making this camera a great video camera!

I also would love to see 24/25p.

Now give us a 1.4L with IS.

At all focal lengths? Or did you have something more specific in mind?

We don't need IS messing up short primes, IMO.

wow, nice firmware

I did my first real shoot with the 5D2 today using the new firmware. I took a snap or two to find what settings to use before each clip. When I brought up the clips in premiere I was blown away. I only needed to do a tiny amount of PP on a few clips. The video looked awesome just the way it was.

To be honest I did have one problem though. Their was a pair of striped pants that aliased. I had to just leave them in the way they were. Luckily the aliasing wasn't moving around much so it wasn't horrible.

It would be nice on the 85L, 135L and 200L primes though - especially the 200.

I finally sold my 70-300 4-5.6 IS this past weekend and am now on the hunt for a good used 200mm f/2.8 L II. I'm going to enjoy the extra couple of stops, but I'll miss the extra reach. The stupid thing is that I had an IS lens before we had manual control, and won't now. Oh well, what can you do? (...short of shelling out for an f/2.8 zoom, of course.)
