I have been using mpeg streamclip for the last year for proxy editing with premiere on a pc, but premiere cs3 started crashing all the time when I was trying to render out stuff longer than a couple minutes with the original h264 5D Mark II files... needless to say, I downloaded cineform neoscene and I'm glad I did.

Cineform is the way to go...especially if your color grading. In my tests, even with the souped up Cs5 and ability to edit the raw H264 files from the camera...I still convert the Cineform AVIs. The 10bit colorspace is much better for grading.
I updated the guide for 2.0.7 and Premiere CS5....also added custom export setting files and sync sound support. crookedpathfilms.com/blog/2010/02/04/complete-idiots-guide-to-the-canon-5d-mk-ii-adobe-premiere-edition-updated-for-cs5-and-firmware-2-0-7/ |
