Test Scene for upcoming short
 

Hey guys,

Just did a test scene for one of my upcoming mini independent project. Do comment. They're good . Shot purely on the 5d mark 2.

thank alot carl. yeah forgotten that the WB was on auto.. were too focused on filmin the new actress. :)

They are good shots. Great depth of field and lighting. The striped shirts are giving you jaggardies though. Is that the moir problem raising its head? With regards Jeff

thanks ! those were caused by my low quality rendering settings. rendering quality was set to low which resulted in those edges. pretty low internet speed here.

Very nice. The first shot has some weird artifacts on the bushes to the left though.

For my taste, there is too much moiré -- it's all over the place; in the bushes, their hair, clothes, etc. I suggest that you turn off the sharpening completely. Otherwise, both the DOF and camera work are nicely done. I also like the pace of the editing, giving time for the overall mood.

nicely done - looks neat. A few things i noticed -

1. artifacts in the bushes and hair (but I'm guessing it's from the transcoding - even so, it shouldn't happen).
2. certain portions are not in focus - I'm not sure if that was deliberate but even on SD it was plainly visible - you need to be very careful on focus on the 5d
3. WB - but that was mentioned above.

Overall looks beautiful. If you haven't shot your film yet - try to decide on the colors in the shots prior to taking them. It will yield much better compositions and give you a better feel throughout. Best.
