quick release camera strap

I'm finding myself taking straps on and off my camera's and it's a pain in the arse. Anyone have a suggestion for a good looking functional quick lease setup?

Google "quick release camera strap" and you'll see lots of them. Or you could go to a hardware store and get a couple of those spring clips with a ring on one end, sort of like caribiner clips.

One potential problem is that the remaining bits can slap against the camera and make noise. Because of that, I take the time to put the strap on the camera for photo days and remove it completely for video.

Jon, I'm do the same thing now. I have a 5d, 7d, and gh1. Shoot video with all 3. Shoot stills with the 5d and action shots with the 7d. The strap mainly comes off for a steadicam and some video shooting. I'm finding I"m using the straps more and more on video hand held stuff.

It's take it off, put it on, take it off. Like I said earlier, it's a pain.

Maybe I can figure out a little velcro or something to keep the noise down....

Black Rapid, the best of both worlds (strapped and strapless).

I use a little wrist strap on both my cams, leave them on permanently. They doesn't get in the way and are good for extra security when holding the camera and shooting stills with it.

eBay, Hong Kong type thing.
