5D HDMI provide audio while recording?
 
Does anybody know if the HDMI cable plugged into the 5D provides audio during recording and live mode or just during playback like the A/V cord does? My monitor has a headphone jack but of course it will do no good if it only works during playback. (I've got the correct HDMI cable on order)

(I know Magic Lantern would normally fix this but the new ML 0.1.9 version does not work with my brand new 5D. It does install but the second you start recording or click the shutter the camera freezes.)
