Markiii Recording On Its Own

Howdy Markiii Users,

I was on a shoot and our producer/shooter would stop the camera from recording and walk away. However, the camera would start recording on its own! This happened a few times.

The camera is brand new. Is there a setting we need to switch so that this doesn't happen any more?

Thanks,
Sharon

Maybe there is some infrared in the room from fluorescent lights that is triggering it. Try putting gaffers tape on the IR receiver.

Thank you for your reply. We were shooting outside so I don't think infrared would be triggered. Any other thoughts?
