Downloading stills from GL-2 stick

Has anyone tried just plugging the USB on the camera into a Mac to see if it till recognize the camera and download the stills straight into iPhoto? I'd rather not have to load special software for this one task.

Hi Jeff,

it works. Transferred pictures from my XM2 to an OS X computer without any additional software.

It mounts like a disk drive on Mac OS-X, although I generally use a separate reader to perform transfers to/from the card.
