GL2 as a webcam on Yahoo Messanger?
 

Hey,
Does anyone know If i can use my GL2 as a webcam on yahoo messanger? Let me know I try to hook it up but it says the pixels are way too big or some crazy thing liek that. If not Ill just have to go buy a cheap webcamera at staples.

Hrm.. On MSN I used my XL2 as a webcam tons of times, it's just PERFECT quality and it's just awesome haha. It works fine on msn, I haven't tried yahoo though. All I did was connect it, turned it on.

If my XL2 worked, I'm sure your GL2 will work.

it would work, but does the gl2 have that auto shutoff thing after 5mins coz that could get annoying. u would have to film something every 5 mins to keep it going, but if it dosen't it should work fine

Though a bit of an overkill it's neat using the GL2 for a webcam.

Auto shutoff kicks in when you have a miniDV tape loaded in the camera. Just unload the tape and make sure that Demo mode is turned off!
