Microphone setting to Voice

When you are recording conversation on the GL-2, do you change the microphone setting to VOICE?

does it make a difference from the NORMAL setting.

also, on windy places when recording, does W. Screen make a noticeable difference?

Joe,
The best answer is for you to try these settings for yourself. The "voice" setting seems to slightly shift the frequency sensitivity to heighten the range of voice frequencies. Similarly, the "windscreen" setting filters a bit of the low-frequency wind rumble out. In my experience neither is very effective. For windy conditions nothing works better than to use a good physical windscreen, such as a blimp or furry screen, on a mic.

do the settings really matter?

i've so far only placed the setting on normal, but recently read the manual and found out these new settings.....

manual reading does help, but was wondering if anyone has noticed a profound effect by changing these settings
