I use regular Panasonic 60min. tapes. I've had zero problems with the tapes in 3+ years of use. I also now use ONLY Panasonic tapes in my cameras, to avoid mixing tape lubricants.

I have the Canon wide angle and it works really well. No complaints.

I also have the Canon DM-50 shotgun mic, which has been really good overall, but has cut out on me a few times for some reason.
