GL3 on the horizon?
 
Hi Everyone,

Just curious if anyone has any idea when Canon plans to release a GL3. Is it somewhere on the near horizon, or still a far far away...

I'm about three weeks away from my GL2 purchase and I wanted to make sure the GL3 wasn't coming out the following week or anything...

Anyone heard anything?

If it were to even happen this year (which I don't expect) it would be just before the Holidays (9+ months away). I really wouldn't expect it until 2004 and even then late spring or summer.

Has there been any indication from Canon (rumor or otherwise) what upgrades or added features could be expected with the GL3?

The GL2 is still so new! I'm sure a GL3 is the very last thing on their minds, with the world so eagerly currently awaiting an XL2...
